Rocky Drift Private Nature Reserve & Campsites is situated in Waterval Onder, Mbombela (Nelspruit), 290 km from Johannesburg on the N4 towards Waterval Boven. Embracing an enclosed valley of approximately 257 hectares of some of the most beautiful mountain country to be found in the Waterval Boven district. The climate is typical of summer rainfall areas.
This property offers guests a choice of 6 cottages with private bathrooms. Each of these cottages is furnished with comfortable bedding and all linen and bath towels are provided; however, guests are required to bring their own swimming towels. The bathrooms are all fitted with a shower.
Each unit contains a kitchenette with a fridge, microwave, and tea- and coffee-making facilities.
Each cottage features an indoor wood-burning fireplace and braai facilities.
There is a choice of 13 campsites and each can accommodate up to 4 guests at a time. The campsites are well-shaded and spaced and have level stands. Each campsite has access to the shared ablution fitted with a shower, consisting of separate ladies' and gents' toilets. Each site also contains water and electricity outlets. Guests must bring along their gear. This property also has additional units on the premises.
Additionally, this property has Wi-Fi access, braai facilities, and access to the shared scullery area and guests are afforded secure parking on the property.
Braai facilities are for the guests only and each campsite & cottage has its own braai facilities.
We have a Café called Rocky Drift Café, that serves sit-down meals and we offer take-aways if guests require.
