Kouga Wilderness is a family farm. It forms part of the Baviaanskloof mega-reserve and is hidden in the Kougaberge about 28 km north of the town of Joubertina on the R62.
Accommodation is set in magnificent landscapes and comprises a farmhouse, two cottages, a campsite and a secluded bush camp.
Numerous adventure activities are offered, including spectacular hiking trails, 4×4 trails, seasonal fruit picking, mountain bike trails and fishing.
It is a working farm with fruit trees, livestock and the harvest of honeybush tea. Farming can be observed up close and is especially interesting during raiding time.
Swim in natural crystal clear pools or in our swimming pool or try to catch Black Bass in the nearby Kouga River. Explore the mountain streams in search of the rare red-winged fish or the very rare, native Galaxias Zebratus, or identify the variety of birds seen on the farm, such as the Osprey, Knysna- and Vleiloerie.
