THE TO STRAND HOLIDAY RESORT IS LOCATED IN A SMALL, SQUARE VILLAGE CALLED VRYSLUITBAI, JUST 26 KM SOUTH OF MARGATE AND 10 KM NORTH OF THE WILD COAST SON
The resort borders the beach, making it an ideal getaway holiday destination for our members and private guests. That it is peaceful goes without saying and we are proud of our clean and safe semi-private beach, which is monitored by lifeguards at weekends and during the season. There are also shark nets, making this a safe area for swimming. The resort forms part of a larger conservation area and many species of birds and small game can be spotted on the short walks through our subtropical forest.
The resort can accommodate +-1,100 guests in 63 self-catering chalets and 141 spacious pitches for camping. We also have two river tents (Rivertent 1 is a normal tent and Rivertent 2 is a “Glamtent”). The campsite has two ablution blocks, which are serviced daily, each pitch is provided with water and power points. We are proud of our three star rating, especially considering we are one of the larger resorts on the South Coast. We also have a modern conference centre, equipped with Wi-Fi, air conditioning and audiovisual facilities.
The center has three venues, which can accommodate between 80 and 300 delegates, and an adjacent restaurant ready with mouth-watering meals for delegates.
Guests can also enjoy a cocktail or two at our bar in season and they can stock up on basic necessities at our store. TO STRAND has the following to offer: Games room, Mini golf, fishing, swimming pool and entertainment programs during holiday seasons.
Every year nearly 7,000 children attend field school camps and take part in our adventure experience at TO Strand. Schools take advantage of this offer year after year, one reason being our team of trained instructors, who focus on safety, unique experiences, healthy meals and value for money. Safety is our number one priority, which is also why our resort is patrolled 24/7 by our security company. At our resort, children can be children again!
